All contestants will compete in 3 equal categories, which are:  Personal Interview, Personal Sense of Style, and Evening Gown.  The Judges will all be from outside the state and will include some of pageantry’s most successful people.

If you are chosen as the Queen, you will have the thrill of reigning over the 32nd Annual West Virginia Three Rivers Festival and win several prizes that last year included a $1,000 Educational Cash Scholarship.  During your reign you will make appearances throughout the Mountain State and be given the opportunity to compete in the West Virginia Association of Fairs & Festivals Pageant and the Miss West Virginia USA® Pageant.

If you are the winner of the Teen Pageant, you will participate in the 32nd Annual West Virginia Three Rivers Festival and make appearance throughout the state and be given the opportunity to compete in the Miss West Virginia Teen USA® Pageant next fall!  In fact, the winner will receive several prizes including a Savings Bond and a cash prize.

If you are accepted, businesses, organizations, family and/or friends can pay this fee.  The fee will cover the cost of your participation in the Pageant and the WV Three Rivers Festival. You will find many people who will be excited to assist you with your sponsorship, but keep this in mind; they will not come to you…you will need to GO TO THEM!  Make a list of those you think will help you and talk to a person who is a decision-maker for the company or organization.  Know as much about the pageant and festival as possible.
